Honfleur Across the Inlet

Near the mouth of the Seine River is the port village of Honfleur. I found this view of the enchanting harbor house across the inlet to the harbor square.

It was a great spot to paint, far away from the tourists with only a family fishing next to me. As boats passed to and fro I thought of the centuries that the town has been connected to the sea. The stories this fine old structure could tell!
