Point Lobos on the Monterey Peninsula of California offers great vistas such as this. This great old tree perches precariously over the Pacific and speaks to the tenacity of the life force on the Earth.

It is an ancient race of trees-these Monterey Cypresses. They are found only one place on the planet as well. To me their shapes are magical and it evokes feelings of well being to be amongst them.
