Aspen & Boulder
12 x 9 My intent for this plein air piece was to focus on a limited subject. Most of my work tends to focus on panoramic views and grandiose vistas. I wanted to be intimate with mountain surroundings that are very soothing to me. I started with the focus on a interesting boulder and then noticed the background white lines of the aspens in their many positions.
