Cone and Creek
9 x 12 I was invited to paint on this ranch in the north end of the San Luis Valley. As is usual,I was immediately attracted to paint the cone-shaped hill that is a prominent feature seen on the ranch. I have long been attracted to geological features such as this. It is part of the guts of a volcano with some colorful outcrops on its flanks. The Sangre de Cristo mountains are in the background reflected in the waters of Kerber Creek. |
