Spring in the Canyon (Valdez)
12 x 9 One of my favorite panoramas is looking down into Arroyo Hondo coming from the village of Arroyo Seco. The cold morning echoed the snow that had come overnight and then rapidly melted away. I followed an irrigation canal until the view opened up to allow me to see the spectacle below. The trees had just barely leafed out with the distinctive lime green color of new sprouts. The sun came out and lit up the village church at Valdez. This piece tempts me to do a similar piece on a larger scale. |
